2025 ACCOMPLISHMENTS & ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
December 9, 2025
This was the year of the saw. With the assistance of our generous donors, we replaced (15) fifteen Husqvarna K970 Rescue Saws. The Jersey City Fire Foundation extends our deepest gratitude to Enbridge for your generous donation of three (3) Husqvarna K970 Rescue Saws. These saws will be distributed to our Ladder Company's, Squad Company's and Rescue Company. Thank you Enbridge, for your generosity and commitment to the safety of our firefighters and residents.

The Jersey City Fire Foundation wishes to express a heartfelt thank you to the Robert & Joan Dircks Foundation for their generous donation of six (6) MSA Altair 4 gas meters. These meters are essential, serving as the work horse of our engine, ladder, squad and rescue companies city-wide. Thank you for your partnership and commitment to helping us save lives.

The Jersey City Fire Foundation sends our appreciation to Norfolk Southern Railroad for their generous donation of four (4) Husqvarna K970 Rescue Saws. These saws will be distributed to our rescue, ladder and squad companies throughout the city. We would also like to thank our partners at the Norfolk Southern Police Department and Croxton Intermodal Terminal. Thank you Norfolk Southern for your continued support of our firefighters.

The Jersey City Fire Foundation would like to graciously thank Proximo Spirts and Proper No. 12 for your $50,000 “One for All” Grant to Engine Co. 11. In fifteen days, Deputy Chief Henry DiGuilio (ret) and the firefighters transformed the almost forty year old kitchen into a new space. All new appliances, walls, flooring, cabinets, countertops, backsplash and lighting were installed. Thank you Chief DiGuilio for your dedication, skill and craftsmanship.

The Jersey City Fire Foundation extends our sincerest gratitude to Lord Abbett for you generous donation of new rope and related rope equipment to Rescue Co. 1 and Squad Co. 4.
Jersey City currently has 22 buildings over 500 feet tall and ranks 8th in the United States with high rise buildings. These buildings present challenges with window washers, scaffolds and vertical shafts. The Fire Foundation, along with our generous donors, recognized the need to replace clutches, captos, bags, and 4800 feet of new 11mm rescue rope.
Thank you Lord Abbett for being a great corporate neighbor in our city and providing our rope rescue technician firefighters with the safest and most state-of-the-art equipment.

The Jersey City Fire Foundation extends its sincere gratitude to Proper Number 12 Whiskey, Proximo Spirits, Allied Beverage Group and all the friends who contributed to this generous grant. This grant will enable us to replace the communal gear cages at Engine Co. 11 with modern Ready Rack gear lockers and update their outdated kitchen facilities. Engine Co. 11, a 3rd Battalion Firehouse was constructed in 1900, is located in the Heights section of Jersey City on the Western Slope. Thank you again, Proper Number 12 Whiskey, Proximo Spirits and Allied Beverage Group for your unwavering commitment and partnership in ensuring the safety of our firefighters and residents.

Ladder Co. 3 is one of two Special Operations Ladder Companies that responds on all motor vehicle entrapments in the 1st and 3rd Battalions.
